Zuckerberg promises greater security for Indian elections

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg promised to ensure that data breaches would not affect upcoming elections in India, Pakistan, Brazil and other countries in 2018. He said that Facebook aimed to ensure no interference in elections. Zuckerberg appeared before the US Congress on Tuesday, and once again took responsibility and apologized for the data breach in Facebook.

He said that he had founded Facebook and had been running it since inception, and accepted responsibility for its activities. He accepted personal responsibility for the leak of data pertaining to lakhs of Facebook users. Zuckerberg has been under pressure since news of a massive data breach by British political consultancy Cambridge Analytica broke out. He has, however, refused to reveal personal details.
